Team C.B.F. Girls catch MONSTER Fish WEEKEND!
High Island, Texas


Mamma liked Catching Big Fish the last time she went out so she decided to tag along again to see how she would do.

Lucky for her she came along. She witnessed Andy catch her very first Bull Redfish and she herself caught her biggest BIG, BIG, BIG UGLY!
Below is our story.
 

Bull Red #1 42"
Just as soon as we had just finished greeting Jolly Roger and Dolphin Girl, Jr rod takes off. He hands it to Albert and look what it was. Thanks TJ.
 

Priscilla was a good bait babe this weekend. Whiting were caught on peeled shrimp. The bait is moving in and you know what that means.
 

Bull Red #2 38"
Shortly after getting all our poles set up the one on the far end starts to sing. I set the hook and look what it turned out to be. Andy asked to be in the picture and said "When am I going to be able to catch a BIG FISH?" I promised her the next fish was hers.
 

Around 30 minutes went buy when finally one of the rods starts to slowly bend over. I get the pole down to her level and let Andie reel the fish in. Man she was struggling but she never gave up. She reeled that fish to the end. I have Jolly Roger and Dolphin Girl as my witnesses to Andie's little feat.
 

Bull Red #3 42"
Andie with here first Bull Redfish. Not bad for a five year old little girl. She made her Daddy proud.
 

Big Ugly #1 42"
Take a look at this MONSTER. It weighed a WHOPPING 48 pounds. The biggest Big Ugly Priscilla ever has caught. She landed this fish on 20# test line, custom rod and Shimano TR-200. The smile on her face says it all. Even the GIRLS on Team C.B.F catch BIG fish.

Bull Red #5 46"
Not much after Priscilla's great catch I land this Monster redfish. Bet this bad boy was at least 35 pounds plus. After posing with these big fish I was starting to get tired.

Bull Red #7 41"
Right before all the mosquitoes sucked all my blood I was able to take this fish. Jolly Roger had already left (Wise Move) and the girls were already in the truck getting away from these blood suckers somebody had to do something about the line screaming off the reel. Man I hate those little critters. Millions of them came out around 4:30 and there was no way to get away from them.

Now for the REPORT!

All I can say is check out the pictures. The two women in my life both scored in a big way. What more can I say? Well maybe I can say that Priscilla has never caught a big redfish like here little girl has. The water was dirty and calm but getting warmer. Bait was starting to show up so it can only get better from here. Crabs and fresh cut whiting heads were used for bait. Most fish were in the first gut. All were taken on cast baits even though Jr yaked a nice live whiting out for me. We landed a total of 6 Bull Redfish and 1 Monster Big Ugly ranging from 38 to 46 inches.
