Fishing with New and Old Friends!

Bull Red #1
After a long morning doing other things we finally arrive at the beach. It was not until the sun went down that we had our first run.
It was a nice little fish to start off the trip.

Bull Red #2
After a few hours of nothing I notice this red bending a pole.

After Anthony and I rotate turns watching the poles and fighting off MOSIQTOES I get to see this beautiful sunrise in the fog.

It is good to be out there.

Did I mention that we use the Landalot® Net when fishing off a pier?

Bull Red #3
After the fog clears and setting new baits this red hits on of the poles.

Lucky for me Anthony is still a bit slow from the long night that I was able to bring in another nice red.

Bull Red
Shark was the next person with a good run.
A healthy Bull red that put up one heck of a fight.

Nice redfish Shark!

Bull Red #4
Anthony must be tired because I beat him to the rod on this fish too!

Bull Red #5
I was about to beat the boy to another fish when I said to myself "It is about time for Anthony to get into the action". After a good fight he brings in this really beat up fish.

Check this out! A shark had bit the fish on both sides up to the middle of the fish. this guy barley got away.
The shark was trying to get himself some redfish sushi!

Buckeye with a nice shark.
This guys shark rigs are awesome.
He will be catching a really large shark soon for sure!

Jolly Roger with the biggest gaftop I have seen in a long time.
I saw him catch redfish one after another but I am posting his Gaftop picture instead.

Bull Red #6
Later in the day Anthony finally catches another nice redfish.

Bull Red #7 45" long
After seeing how my rod bent over like a twig I was not about to let the boy get this fish!
this guy was a bruiser. I bet this is the largest fish we have caught in 2004. The picture does not do justice for this fish. You may have noticed that I have not put the length of the fish we have caught so far, It is because we did not have a measuring device. I had to borrow one for this fish. Her girth made her look so much bigger.
I just had to get a measurement before letting her go!

Shark #1 37" long
After moving to Rollover pass to fish with some other buddies I hook up onto this fiesty little shark.
We are starting on the sharks a bit early this year. Time to break out the steel leaders.

Now for the REPORT!

All I can say is that I had a good time fishing with new and old friends. It was fun fishing with all of you. We saw a great verity of different types of fish this weekend. Whiting, Hard heads, Gafftop, Redfish, Black drum and shark were all seen this weekend. Good bait was hard to find but Gary at the Dirty pelican (like always) took good care of us.

Team C.B.F's scores again!

I thank God for blessings he has given this family!
