Check out this nice keeper flounder.
Nice job BOY!

Albert with his first keeper redfish ever!
I have to say it again - Nice job BOY!

Here is my first sheepshead ever.
It was exciting. A shrimp pattern did the trick. I have casted at allot of these but have never landed one.

Check out this SLAM!
A redfish, black drum and a sheepshead all on the same wade. Bet I will never do that again!

Albert with a nice stringer of trout!
What a trip.

NOW for a FISH STORY!
After a long morning driving and getting a ticket, we arrive in Rockport. While searching the shoreline for bait and reds we find a flat that we tried out. As we where about to finish the wade Anthony spots a flounder in the flats which he goes for. After 3 fly casts over it he finally gets this one to bite and lands it. Later that day we set up camp and land some trout in the surf. On Friday we also caught small trout in the surf with the addition of fairly large ladyfish and whiting on lure. Albert fishing alone caught 8 nice trout. Saturday we decided to hit the flats again this time we all caught different fish on our fly rods. First I caught a red. Then Albert caught his first redfish on his fly rod along with Anthony catching a ladyfish on his fly also. Finally I show them how it is done and I land a sheepshead along with a black drum all on a fly rod. On Sunday we landed some early trout and packed up and left.

Camp! Need I say more? Yes, that is me taking a siesta.
What are vacations for?

This is Dick showing me how to load everything you need in a fishing camp on a boat and more!
Thanks for letting me use your grill, Dick.

Now for the REPORT!

After a strong summer COLD front we had a great relaxing 4 days in 80-degree weather. With the addition of the constant cool north wind and no mosquitoes, we found ourselves laying repeatedly in the shade. In the mornings and afternoon we found trout and ladyfish in the surf and at noon we found redfish drum and sheepshead on the flats. Along with the piggy perch, sand trout, hard heads, and whiting we caught an impressive 10 different species of fish. What is more amazing is the amount of Junior Angler State/Water body records being processed right now. Eleven to be exact. Although we did not hit the rough surf for bull drum or shark we had a blast sleeping in a tent for four days and catching many fish. Thank god for the beautiful blue weather and no MOSQUITOS.

Team C.B.F's scores again!

I thank God for blessings he has given this family and for our safe trip!
