Now for the REPORT! The weather was sunny, and beautiful but still on the nippy side, ESPECIALLY if water gets in your waders. I spent way too much time trying to deploy my shark baits with my new sail line that cut into our fishing time. Maybe we could have caught a little more if we would have watched our lines closer. In all we had 3 runs and landed 2 over size redfish that were 39" and 41" long. I think the run we missed was probably a big gaftop. A group down the beach did catch several big gaftop. Our bait was being mangled buy small fish or crabs so quickly it was not funny. Bait was caught with relative ease. We did see mullet in the first gut. Hadn't seen that in a while. I have a really nice little sting ray for shark bait the next time we head out. I really need to get me a kayak. The water is warming up and I am getting excited. Thinking about heading to Meacom's during the week to catch me a BIG SHARK. Not as productive as our past trips but still did not get skunked. I think we were getting spoiled.
FISH HARD or STAY HOME with your MOMMY!
