It was designed for fighting a fish off a pier where they have a chance of wrapping around the pilings.
The heavy duty leader material lets the fish "SLIDE" off the pilings without breaking your leader.

This leader has an extra barrel swivel a few inches off the end of the leader so it can "SWING" freely in the current.
This gives the bait the ability to move around a bit more where the fish can find it. This is a good live bait rig.
