Flagship Fishing Pier!
Galveston, Texas

Just had to get out!

Haven't been able to go fishing due to work so I could not let such a beautiful day go to waist. Even though I had things to do and needed to spend some time with the rest of the family we still took off. Albert has been pestering me for the last several weeks that he wanted to go fish the flagship so off we went.
Not a bad place to fish.

Bull Red #1
An hour after we set up the gold pole goes off and Albert gets the first fish on! I let him take it because he wanted to fish that pier so bad.

Jarred Grigg's with his first Bull Red EVER!
After talking to the people next to for a while we realize that they were there to get a newcomer onto a bullred. Knowing this I figure I should help out. Kids are the future of the sport so I try too get them hooked as much as I can. The same pole as earlier starts to scream and I let the young boy take it. Jarred fought the fish like a pro. Look at that smile. I do not know who was happier Jarred or Grandpa Griggs? I can tell your grandpa is proud of you. Good meeting you guys. Maybe someday we can fish together again. Next time you will have to pick up your own fish. We will let it slide this time.

Now for the REPORT!

It was gorgoues out there. The water was calm, the wind was cool and making new friends. Doesn't get better than that. Bait was easy to catch on shrimp and fishbites. We caught plenty of croaker, whiting and sand trout to keep our baits fresh. I had several pickups but they did not hook up. One seemed like a shark. Another guy down the pier had on heck of a shark run. He could do nothing but hold on. We saw several stingrays caught so to me that means the water is not too cold.

Team C.B.F's scores again!

I thank God for blessings he has given this family!

FISH HARD or STAY HOME with your MOMMY!
